you guys just don't get it. If playing god in a lake, makes you feel good, then go for it. Just don't come on a public forum, and expect everyone to think its cool, or the right thing to do. I think it is funny that the picture is on a boat. If i had a boat, the last thing i would do is go out hunting carp, makes me think first of all, this person does enjoy it,and can't really fish for anything else. So if you/he enjoy showing off fish that you kill, don't tell me your doing everyone a favor by doing it. fillybass is %100 right, the law does state that. Where is everyone else that thinks this is messed up, or does everyone else on here just ignore these guys.

just to let you know I fish with a rod and reel just as much as I bowfish. I travel all up and down the east coast rod and reel fishing. I have a place on the cheasapeake bay where I catch a disgusting amount of rockfish every year.

Fillybass and drider, Carp fishing are for rejects that can't catch a real fish like panfish, bass, and catfish. I bowhunt at Struble and Green Lane for years. There are so many of those stupid little things that they are stunted. Not only do the uproot all the vegetation and eat all the gamefish eggs. Carp have devestated the crayfish population there and that is the primary forage for bass and catfish. I'm tired of seeing these lakes get ruined all because of those stupid yellow bastard. My kills this year have went over 300 carp form both lakes. And those what you call mirror carps, I will will eliminate everyone of them out of Green Lane by next year. If you want to catch and protect carp, GO TO EUROPE with all those European gentleman, then there won't be an issue about killing. As for what I do with my carp, let's just say the racoons in my woods love (proper disposal).
Lastly Fillybass, why don't you do us a favor and come down and pick up all the dead carp and eat them yourself!

I also bowhunt. I enjoy it. I also enjoy ridding my lakes of nuisance fish. I used to fish for them with rods and reels, but I would only harvest 15 to 20 per night. Now with a boat and bow, I can easily limit out especially in spring when those dumb-ass idiot fish just cruise around the shallow. My personal best out of Green Lane is 39lbs
My grandfather and father taught me that carp are detrimental to our ecosystem. And I agree with Jimmy, if you like carp so much, move the hell outta the US of A and ship your carp loving -ass to Europe!
Fillybass21 must be one of them stupid carp lovers from the Philadelphia Trashfish guys. Those guys love to go on the internet and argue how precious carp is. All the are is nuts-ating goldfish. Nothing more than bait! My 2 cents.

i fish for carp maybe once a year. All the fish you mentioned you forgot a few that i fish for-Trout,Stealhead,Smallmouth bass,Pickeral. Then there is salt water fish (stripers, blues, weekies, fluke, tuna). I have friends that fish for carp alot more then i do. My point here is, if you fish for these fish, and not find that they are that great in a certain lake, and the lake is over run with carp, go to another lake. There is tons of places to fish in PA. Alot more then on this site. Some places are known for Bass, some are known for Carp, Move on. And to all you Guest that are friends of all the other guys on here-come on, Glad to see someone has friends.

you know what, on second thought. Trying to talk to you guys is worthless. Just stay on your 4 lakes on here, while some of us real fisherman go to other places that have fish. You guys can sit around and play cowboys and indians ll you want. Judging by the amount of people that actually post on here . I read through the post on here, and there is zero info on tactics, fish info or anything worth reading. Only thing i see is, i shot this,i caught this, look at the size of this, the tourny was great,( Marsh Creek) we had 65 boats on a small lake, and the biggest fish was 2Lbs!!! No wonder some of the lakes on here have small fish. For the moderators, start making this a real forum. Give some good input, make it fun. This carp killing thread should have been killed a long time ago. Now you have Guest giving there 2 cents. .

before this gets anymore out of hand it should be locked.
Sorry you feel that way about the forum, no ones begging you to stay, like you said there are plenty of good lakes to fish elsewhere, as are there message boards. We'd love to have you stay, and voice opinions, but at the same time theres no need to get all up in arms over someone 'fishing' the way they choose. Like said before, if it was illegal, it would be illegal, and wouldnt even be a topic. NO ONE has done anything wrong, if you dont like bowfishing, say your piece and move on. No reason to trash me, or make assumptions about where I fish because you don't know! And the 2 guests, aren't anyone I know or have met, just their own opinions! There is good information here, how do you think this whole thread got started? helping each other out with places to do what we love!
