Been over a few times looking for crappies but not much happening. My trip above was the best I hit them(if you want to call that good LOL). Don't know if the cool rainy weather has them screwed up or if I missed them. Was going to try this morning but we went back to RAIN.
I'm sure the lake is up but it wasn't to muddy or high yesterday when I went by on 73. The pads were starting to poke the surface on the west side last week but not real thick yet. Haven't been back to Peter's but generally that is "greened up" quicker than the main lake.
Personally I don't target bass while they spawn - accidental catches get released without a picture. Guys have been doing pretty good the last couple of weeks. Guessing most of those guys are wading Peter's. My bassin starts in June when the season opens(no I don't keep) I'll report on those trips.

Was over this morning from 5:30 to about 8:30 targeting crappies. Not real productive seemed like every half hour a small school would swim by. Started with a little action on the fatheads but they weren't taking them just bumping them enough to make the bobber bounce once or twice... then nothing ? Did catch maybe a dozen on the twister for those 3 hrs. biggest might have made 8". Also got a real nice yellow perch in the 10-12" range he's lucky I was releasing today. Sorry no pictures - my phone has a thing for water so it stays in the truck.. LOL.
Water was up a couple of inches with a stain to it, which is pretty common anymore. Pads were getting thicker but still had room between them to run the twister

At this point I would say,let them finish their thing I won't bother them. Looks like weather won't be that great, so I'll do some yard work instead. Again thank you for reports. Z

I hope to see some positive report about the lake? I know it's been raining a lot so water level should be real high? Anything happening? Thank's Z

I went by this morning(73 is a mess - repaving - sat for the flagman for 20mins). The water did not look to bad(neither real high or muddy). Guessing most of the rain missed upper Berks/Lehigh... Hit Western Berks pretty good - They closed Blue Marsh
I'm getting twitchy waiting for the 16th... LOL

Plenty left for you managed 2 bass in 2 lb range,my friend also had 2 in same size, it was rather slow, water is high making it difficult to reach the Zone lily pads make it tough to land the fish, evening fishing seams to be better, still beautiful day on the lake, good luck.
