( Great camera work(me) ) yes Great camera work, and what a fish, that is my favorite way to fish, wade out and cast I can do this for houres. Now you know why I always ask about water levels I have been doing this kind of fishing for many years at my second home which was Churchville Reserviour untill they closed it completly, I also been surf fishing Brigantine beach for over 20 years with some Great results but lately salt water has been very slow, so I'm back to the lakes and I love it

Did a little more "research" found a map from 1862 and now I'm not sure on the history I gave you LOL . There was a Peters living in the area, but not shown near the spring. Also the creek is named Angelica Creek - not Peters Creek. Still possible that the Peters had a homestead closer to the spring in the 1700's though. IDK why they changed the name of the creek either

Thank's for the great map that answers a lot of my questions, I always knew that in the middle of the cove where Peters dumps into there was something and at this point looks like Angelica is still very much alive, I wonder how deep ? I posted about Peters creek fall and marking on it 1942 that was wrong sorry the marker said 1943 at the time that I was there someone has dislodged that piece of cement ad pushed it into the creek, I was able to retreive it and put it back in it's place ( quite heavy ) , I wonder if it's still there? and why would someone try to destroy it ? Some of the "kids" from the housing development have been known to hang out over there. Plus the rif-raf that drives - Buddy + I used to spruce up the burial plot for Memorial Day - seems it was a "drinking spot" back then. And of course you have the "other" guys... don't think they are the vandal type though. As far a depth in the Peters "arm" it starts at about 3-4' in by the R.R. then gradually deepens to about 10-15' out where it joins the main lake. For the most part it is silted in and rather featureless going out with maybe 100' of the "creek channel" near the tracks still exposed. More for your viewing pleasure... LOL (look for PM too) a few years before dam bulit 2009 drought about 100yrds from RR tracks

Beautifull day on the lake, But == water levels very high and muddy, still manged 2 bass=1 around 3-4 pounds and 1 at about 1 lb. My friend had few bites but no hook ups. Seems like the lillys are gone and so are the fish

Sorry I missed your post - yeah we got hammered by the storms Friday night. The typical(for this year) major flooding of most of the creeks in the area. I was across 73 Saturday morning and the lake was up on the grass a foot or three. High pressure after the storms you're lucky you got any action.... lol

We found clean water, and at some place the water was crystal clear but very cold, found some remaining lillys and warmer water and that's where the fish were. Still trying to learn the lake
