Wow! Looks like frigid temperatures and WIND will be sticking around thru next week. Have to really layer up and charge the Thermo Cells and load up on hand warmers. FYI: CVS has hand warmers and Home Depot has toe warmers for those who are looking. Good luck to anyone who is heading out, keep warm!

Fished yesterday. Fishing was hot and cold but after searching around for a while at a couple go to spots we ended up with a dozen or so really nice perch and throwing back a lot of fish in the 8 to 10 inch range.

fished today from maybe 9 until 1:30. The bite was real slow for me. Don't know if it was the incoming weather or what but it just wasn't my day. Lots of sniffer but few takers. To top it off I took my cleats off to set up my new ice hut and wound up taking a spill shortly after. Busted my shoulder up pretty good. Hoping its not going to put an end to my ice season, but it just may. What a rookie mistake....

Thanks panfishin. Hoping to be back out sooner then later. Gonna be cold out there tomorrow morning. Talking negative digits overnight. If the wind dies down the main lake has a chance to maybe freeze up this week.

Nice Video! Anyone braving the weather and going out today? I'm shooting for this afternoon when it warms up a bit. Looks like Wednesday things will settle down and temps will be a little better. Weekend will be in the 30's.

Got up early saturday since I was going to meet my buddy at the gate on the ranger station side, but they never came to open the gate until after 8!! My buddy stopped in the ranger office the day before and asked what time the gate was going to be open saturday and he was told 7am!! Needless to say the line-up of people at the gate were PO'D. We went over to chalfont but the bite already died off when we started fishing. I stuck around and left just after panfishin' made his way out. Tried all kinds of stuff but couldn't get many to commit. A very aggressive jigging motion with a tungsten jig and single waxie had them rushing in for the kill, but they would sniff and not eat. Oh well till next time.

I was one of those people waiting at the gate Saturday morning frank. The guys there definitely weren't happy about it. Same thing, by the time I did get out and drill some holes the bite had already passed for the most part.
