I was about to round up a search party when I got the call from panfishin, follow up call was good news that the GPS locked in. I also got turned around and was actually heading towards the Dam when I should of been heading for the park building, a friend that I walked off with steered me right. Just like panfishin said the bite was real good just before dark and the fog was growing thicker by the minute at that point. Looks like our hard water fishing days will be winding down soon, next week is going to be springlike temps, I wonder if we can fish as long as last year, March 20.

I wonder if anyone is out in this mess today. I thought hard about it, but after clearing off my driveway I realized that was just crazy talk.

I agree panfishin, today was a day to regroup and dry out. Everything was sopping wet. I know I could of joined you in your hut but the hole I was on was stacked and the bite was steady. I did give some thought about going out this morning but I quickly came to my senses, tommorrow is another day altho dragging the sleds will be a chore with all this snow. Who's going out tommorrow?

Looking to get out a little tomorrow and a little more on Saturday and then a couple full days for Sunday and Monday. Want to get as much use out of the new gear as possible. Been fishing South Jersey lakes with pretty good success recently. Bowfin and Largemouth Bass mostly with the occasional Crappie. Gonna miss the much shorter trip. Catch you guys out there.

Fished today from 10 AM- 5 PM, the walk out was horrible, the snow insulated the slush underneath, broke thru every step and the sled caked up with frozen slush which made dragging it nearly impossible. The bite was light but good as soon as I dropped down, picked up 10 crappie real quick then it took some teasing to get them to bite, ended up with 31 crappie. 7 of us walked off single file and it was no better than going out. Good chance all that slop freeze up tonight. Back out tommorrow!

That sounds like a pretty good day to me. I fished today from about 1:30 until 5:30. Kept 22 crappie, all good fish with a couple better ones in there too. Had the best mid afternoon bite yet this year at marsh and wound up leaving before it really turned on since I had enough fish on the ice already. I really had to fish the machine today. Couldn't feel the bite, just had to set the hook when the lines met up. Fun day out. Gonna hit it again tomorrow and then that may be it for me.

Fished from 7 AM - 5 PM, loaded up on crappie in the morning then caught my share of keeper perch and more crappie thru out the day. Gave away more fish than I kept. It was fun out there, the " gang " showed up and we had a large pot of fish chowder heating up on the stove, thanks to Wacky for all the work. Looks like the end is near, going out today for what might be the last time, had 2 good months on the ice, fished with alot of good people and had tons of fun.

Fished today 1:30 until 6:30. Kept 18 crappies. Bite was on and off through the afternoon. Another nice day out, Looks like the warm weather and rain is going to wipe out the ice on the main lake by the weeks end. I wont have another chance to get out until Saturday so I am hoping that the ice along chalfant will still be ok for one more day out, but I'm not sure of that. If not its been a really good season fishing out there with all the guys.
