Did the edges stiffen up at marsh any? I'm going in the morning but probably hit struble if marsh's edges are thin.

I was wondering the same thing. I've been fishing struble this week and the fish are pretty good size but the bite has been slow. I wanted to try marsh tomorrow if the ice is good.

I was there yesterday,, some soft spots at the edges,,,you just gotta pick your spot to get on,,but it was not that big of a deal...it helps to lean on your sled when you get on to disperse your weight .,,,after a few feet your fine,,,and do it quick,,,don't linger at the edges.

I was out Friday, shore ice was good both going out and coming in. The bite was very slow and very soft, needed to pay close attention to the spring bobber for the slightest movement. I did manage to catch fish thru out the day, once I got the hang of it. I'm a firm believer in moon phases. I seem to do better on a new moon which we had early last week. With a full moon coming by Thursday I suspect the bite will slow down, just my opinion from past experiences. It still fun being out there with the rest of you guys, stopping to chat, sharing tips and enjoying the peace and quiet. I'll be back out this coming week until inclement weather comes.I tend to stay away on weekends to work on the Honey -Do list.

Tough bite yesterday and today. Marked plenty of fish and had them coming off the bottom to chase the lure but they wouldn't commit. When they did the bite was real soft as already mentioned.
Ice around the edges is a lot better then a few days ago, but I still made a mad dash onto and off the ice to be safe. Ice is close to 8" thick on most of the lake.
Nice meeting you on saturday Brian!!
