Hey panfish, I see you use a Marcum sonar unit. I just bought a Marcum Show Down Ice Troller Sonar Device. Is this the model you are using? I'm excited to get back on the ice and use it. What type of attractant are you using? Gulp?

I might try Saturday afternoon or Sunday if it's safe. Bit of a mess at the moment.

Going out in the morning. I'm thinking of trying struble, hopewell or scotts run. Anyone know what the ice conditions are at any of the other lakes?

Yellowlab I might be going to any of those 3 tomorrow if I can get out but if not tomorrow I will be out Monday. I was at hopewell end of January. Fishing was real slow. Talked to a guy that got some pickerel and trout at Scott's the day before but that was about 3 weeks ago. If you see someone with a teal sled common over and say hello

I would like to catch some pickeral over at scott's. Couple friends want to go out and they don't have trout stamps. Friend of a friend did well on crappie saturday at struble so we're giving that a try this morning. I'm easy to spot. I'll have my yellow lab with me.

Would it be safe to go out tomorrow with all that snow on top of the ice? I wanted to go out tomorrow before it heats up. Does anybody know what the ice thickness and snow depths are on struble/MC/Scotts?

Was out on Marsh Sunday. It was a cold day and a real mess to walk through. About 7 inches of snow and slush on top. The ice was about the same thickness as the weekend before, 7-8 inches. Bite was good most of the day but real light and tough to feel with the constant wind. caught some perch but all small
