They dropped the water level more then usual, heard some complaints about it, but it was for a good reason they dug out around the ramp and docks on the Lyndell side of the lake. I don't think it's going to help much for launching our boats when the lake is low but at least we will be able to tie up to both docks while the water level is up. Heard some more good news, they are going to install a light at the ramp so that we will be able to see the docks and ramp in the dark.

Wow...thats really good news.. I know MCBC has been trying to raise the $$ for that light because the state wouldn't pay for it. Who is putting out for the light? We need to thank whoever it is.. Also that good to see that they dug out that ramp. Hopefully it will help with launching a little. Did they do the dirt ramp too?

I some of the guys from MCBC are ones who got it approved, but I don't know all the details about who paid for what, and I don't want to give the wrong info out so the only other thing I know is it will be a solar light. They didn't do anything to the dirt ramp, it would be nice if they would but I don't think they are ever going to do anything to it.

Hey, now that is really good news. I wonder if they dug up and I can now find my motor toter in that pile of dirt. A few more weeks guys and we should be able to get our bass boats on the MC for another season. Thanks to any and all who had anything to do with the ramp and lights.

To All,
Thanks to the hard work and dedication from the Marsh Creek Bass Club and especially to Jack Scott for his numerous letters he wrote this past winter to the local State Reps and Senators, are the ones responsibile for getting the solar dusk to dawn light approved. The State Park is purchasing the light and with the help of the MCBC, the hole will be dug and the pole set for the light to sit atop in the area of where the handicap parking is currently located. Positioned here, the light will cast onto a portion of the ramp, the handicap access area and over towards the circle in the center of the turn around. It has taken years to get this accomplished, but it looks like it is finally coming to fruition. Timeline for installation looks to be around mid to late summer as I was recently informed by the Asst. Park Mgr. of MCSP. Please take the time in your travels to the lake this spring and summer to also thank the State Park Staff for their support also.

Does anyone know if the water is up? Can we get a boat in on both sides?

As far as I know they have not started raising the water level yet. Not sure what's going on but with the good weather forecast for the weekend there are going to be a lot of unhappy fishermen.

Hey tomM hows it going, you going to give it a try this weekend. I don't know how often Johnny K checks the board but the last time I saw him at the lake he was using running a Ranger maybe 18' or 19 footer. I used the dirt ramp a lot over the years and I've never had any real problems except one rock I always seem to find, it use to make me a little nervous, I was afraid that I would bend an axle but never did. If you go out let us know how you did.

Hey Herb,
I don't know if I'm going to try or not. I've used the dirt ramp quite a bit in the past but never when the water is as low as it is. I probably won't try it cause the dirt probably isn't completely dried out. I'll do Hopewell or Chambers instead. I know that rock you're talking about. LOL
