I live near the East Brandywine creek and would like to know where is the best location to catch some trout and what time? I like to go near Kerr Park location but I've never seen any trout or other fish there, even though people tell me they see tons of trout there all the time. I'm just thinking I am going at the wrong time. I like to fish early morning 6-7am, so maybe someone knows where on the Branywine I can find some trout.

go up rt.282 until you see the old mill on the right. cross over the bridge and park in the parking lot on the right. this is an artificial lures only area. walk back about 330 yards and at around 7:15 am cast a brown nymph under the third rock from the edge of the far bank were the log is in the water. reel in trout.

Go to where Beaver creek and the brandywine meet. It is approx. 100 yards west of the basketball court in Kerr Park. Fishing is usually good there in the morning and in the evening. However, that location can get some fishing pressure from time to time. Also, fishing can be good along Beaver creek in Lloyd park if you can stand the dog lovers letting their dogs run wild without a leash. Also check the stocking schedule on the PA fishing and boating website ---> sites.state.pa.us/PA_Exec/Fish_Boat/mpag1.htm

Thank you for all the helpful hints. I noticed you recommended a brown nymph for artificial lures, are there any other lures you recommend for this type of trout fishing. I have a ton of spoon spinner & plastic lures.
