Can some one tell me how to get to the Black Rock area of the river from either Elverson or Exton. I have been in PA for some time now and haven't been able to catch a catfish since I left Arizona and the Colorado river. Any help will be appreciated.

Coming from Elverson: come strait down rte 23 towards Phoenixville, you will come to a red light where 23/724/113 all come together in Phoenixville. you want to make a left onto rte 113 at that light & head towards downtown Phoenixville. you will stay on rte 113 for maybee 1 mile, rte 113 will then go left over the "high" bridge which goes over the french creek, DO NOT FOLLOW 113 OVER THAT BRIDGE, continue STRAIT on Bridge street through town, DO NOT TURN OFF, you will then come to a bridge not far after that, that is the schuylkill, you will go over it , BEFORE YOU CROSS COMPLETELY OVER THE BRIDGE THERE WILL BE A SMALL ROAD ON YOUR LEFT, go down that road to the end (the river will then be on your left & the canal will be on your right). That is lock 60 on the canal & there is a nice large parking lot, the dam is strait ahead from there, you can walk back on the rock wall or take a trail that is a little to your right. There is a information center sign that has a map of the trails in the area along the river & dam.
