My cousin and me went shad fishing below Conowingo Dam today. Fished for about 2 hours this morning, the fishing was decent, we both caught around 20, all hickory shad and got most of them on a silver shad king spoon. Went back this evening and fished for another 2 hours or so, the fishing wasn't as good but I managed maybe 12 and my cousin caught 4, all hickory's again. This time they seemed to be taking a red & white shad dart best. We didn't see any White (American) shad caught today but did hear that some were caught earlier in the week, no striper's either. We stopped at a little tackle shop in Port Deposit and were told that they are catching White Perch down around the Rt 95 bridge. Might give it another try tomorrow.
