Was just wondering if anyone has been up to The York Haven area of the river yet this year.

Hawgcatcher, I read a report on another fishing board that they're catching a few fish but doesn't sound like they're doing as well as in past years, one guy did say he caught a 30 1/2" hybrid striper that weighed 10.5 pounds. Seems like they are catching more catfish then anything else.

Fished the warm water discharge below York Haven Dam today. Caught 2 stripers 1 small mouth and bunch of catfish. Nothing of any size. My buddy did loose 3 fish that were big but we never got to see what they were.

3 big fish were lost on Rattle traps. Cat Fish were all caught on chicken livers that a fella up there gave to us when he left. Small mouth and 1 stripper on a rooster tail. And a stripper on chicken liver. As far as directions I'd check a map, the way I go no way I could tell ya. To many back roads I don't know names of. Far as I can tell ya is take the 30 bypass over the wrightsville bridge take your first right "exit" turn right off exit ramp. After that you just try and follow the river North, but there are a lot of back roads you have to turn on. I'd get you lost.
