I have not been up there for quite awile, anyone have any hot spots or lure patterns that might work? I was thinking of trying the grass beds along the shore between the 2 ramps, but closer to the dam end...assuming there is any grass. Andy

Took my son up to Mauch Chunk Lake yesterday. Sunny, warm, and windy, water was 75, cooler than Blue Marsh and clear. We hit fish all day in 7-3' of water and lunker came from 10'. Had a couple of rip offs which may have been toothy critters. The fish were all sperad out which is normal for summertime. Most fish were on soft plastics and spinnerbaits. We had many in the 12-14" range and my son got the biggie at around 2.5 pounds. Andy www.firstlightbaits.com

Below Tamaqua very close to Jim Thorpe. It is electric only about 1 mile long and streight, valley floor that was flooded to create the lake. Lots of rocks and tree stumps. Waleye, bass, pickerel, trout and panfish. Fun lake for the family. I think it is a state park managed lake so they have the ususal concessions, beach and boat rental at the end near the dam. Andy
