got a small boat and a kid? go to Kaerscher Creek Lake in Hamburg, electric only, tons of weeds and a good bass fishery. Not many BIG fish but healthy ones. I did 2 trips there recently with 20 bass on rip 1 and went back with my son and we had 14 total fish. and it was in the 90's both days. use small plastics and my small brown pitchin jigs on the weed edges and release them all.

The lake is actually 1 mile east of the center of Hamburg, PA. I follow rt61 north and bear right into Hamburg. I think it is the 3rd light you want to make a right ( there used to be a sign at this intersection for Kerscher Creek lake) and go about 1 mile, the lake is on your right.
