We have just heard that apparently there will not be open tournaments held this year by West Caln Sportsmens Club or the Lions Cub on Marsh Creek lake. We have not heard from Thorndale Fire Co. as to the status of there open this year. Any additional info about this , please let us and others know.
Don't forget Marsh Creek Bass Club is having their open bass Tournament, and picnic on Saturday June 30th this year. Applications are available now in our store.

Is there a two man per boat requirement, or can you fish it by yourself? What is the entrabce fee?

arizonaangler,
I hope the link GSSEAGLE provided answered all of your question. If not, yes you may fish the tournament by yourself, however you will be at a slight disadvatage. Since Marsh Creek operates by the PA Big Bass Program the legal limit for one man is 4 fish (over 15") for the day. With two men on the boat, in our tournaments, the limit is 5 (technically it could be 8, but we keep it at 5 to help decrease livewell overcrowding and ultimately decrease the post tournament mortality rate).
I have seen guys fish by themselves in our tournaments and do well and end up in the money so you never know unless you try.
Lastly, as it has already been said, this tournament could quite possibly be the ONLY open day tournament at Marsh Creek all summer, so don't miss out!
