Hawghunters bass club open tourny update « on: Today at 07:04:12 PM »
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ok guys and gals, due to recent weather conditions and possible ice remaining on Beltzville by 4/1/07, i have submitted permit apps for two changes. First, i applied for a permit to move the Beltzville tournament into Saturday April 7th. Hopefully this will allow time for the lake to thaw out so we could have a safe tournament. So far, the park approved it and i just need to hear from the fish and boat commission. Second, i applied for a permit to hold a tournament at Nockamixon on 4/1/07 since i heard that the lake is 90% open including coves. Since these are drastic changes to our flyers which are at the tackle shops, i will need the help of everyone in spreading the word and hopefully filling the field of 49 boats. I will keep you all updated with the results as soon as i hear of permit approvals. Since there have been some cancellations of tournaments, i hope i can bring this to you so we can finally get on the water in a friendly and competitive manner. Let's hope for the best and i hope to see you all again soon.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- as far as time, cost, etc. Everything will be the same as the ones previously listed. Registration will begin at 5am, Launch at 7am, weigh in at 3pm. The cost will be $60 for entry and $10 for lunker. Since this was a last minute tournament, there will be no additional fee at the nockamixon tournament only for registering at the ramp. Pay out will be same as listed in original schedule which is 100% of lunker pool and 80% of entry fees after expenses. Sponsor prizes may vary due to short time frame for this tournament. We will launch out of Tohikan Ramp and so far we are looking good. I spoke to the fish and boat commission and the paper work was sent to the park office. I spoke to them also and they will call me as soon as they receive it and it is approved. Those interested in the Beltzville tournament, so far everything looks good for that one since we have an extra week to receive the permit and an extra week for the ice to melt. Feel free to email me or call me. bassfishing101@msn.com and # is 610-248-6977.
