hit up hopewell april 30th, water was 61 to begin the day, 65 to end it, visibility only about 2 feet, thought it would be a little clearer this early, sparse weeds only, fished pretty much the whole lake, didn't see any beds yet; had a hard time finding any sort of pattern, caught 5 or 6, nothing over 2 lbs, most hugging the shoreline structure, a few in about 5 ft on one of the flats; tried fishing deeper, 8-10 ft. but nothing was happening. coulddn't get anything on crankbaits except for one decent perch, and nothing on spinnerbaits, they were only hitting slow presentation plastics
