I don't really fish in the lake, I mostly fish for trout in streams, but I'm going to start lake fishing this year. Anyway my question is can anyone tell me if they have ever caught walleye in the lake. For the second time now I was fishing in the octorara creek below the lake and I caught what I believe to be a walleye. I'm just wondering if they wash over the dam from the lake or if they are only in the creek.

There are walleye in the lake. They were put in last year, however, a 27 incher was caught last spring in the lake. It is a nice lake to fish but has limited access without a boat.

I haven't heard of very many being caught out of the lake, they have been stocked a few times but they never seem to take hold in the lake. I'm not sure what happens to them, (get eaten, die, or go out the spillway) that's the only info on walleyes I have for you. The lake is more of a bass, crappie & catfish place.
