fished struble tuesday night from about 6:30 till 10:00 only caught 2 bass 1 catfish and 1 walleye. all were caught on medium diving crankbaits even the catfish, seem to catch at least 1 or 2 of them every time out. anyone else catching these agressive catfish on lures? sure gets your blood flowing thinking you got a big bass only to see a cat. thinking about fishing all night one time just to see if its any better since the water is so hot.

oh yes, talk about blood boiling, try this: I hooked a big bass (this was last year) on a crankbait. he had me fight him 360 around the boat, then got off a mili-second from the lip job. then hooked another on the same crank, grab the net this time but its a carp foul hooked. as you might have read from my previous report I nailed something trolling that straightened 2 rapala hooks. this on a quality rod and reel with only 10lb test . someone else said rapala company was sold? well I also cast-off a new one and had nothing left but the lip. I'm not buying rapala any more. did you get the walleye after dark ? and do you random fish the flats? thats a big lake but besides fishing the shoreline, I don't know any off shore spots. are there any off shore spots that are dependable fish holders? thanks for the report

actually my buddy caught the walleye about 6:30 and a bass on the next cast. then i caught the cat and a bass on the way back to the ramp fishing the bank on the right side heading back. The walleye was a real surprise i know they are in there but wasnt expecting to catch one.Caught it near the dam where the water is a little deeper which is where i usually catch most of the bass i catch. Struble is lacking any real cover for the bass to relate to especially in the summer months but its a great lake to catch some real quality size fish which is why i go back, i caught one there about a month ago that i'm guessing was over 6 lbs. the pic is at the top of the message board with the dam breast in the backround. Any way good luck and maybe i'll see you there.

its not like Marsh at all. totally different and requires different techniques or at least a different approach. I have yet to catch a walleye there, might have to feed em meat or fish at night to really increase the odds. I always wanted to try shallow cranks at night for eyes ever since I saw the fish co. report. good luck and hope to see you out there also
