My wife, brother and I tried Struble for the first time Saturday. It is a nice lake and we met some friendly people there. We got there about noon and fished untill 6pm. Most people were leaving due to the wind picking up. Talked to most of them and they caught 1-2 large mouths. A few were catching carp off of the dam. We were fighting the wind all day. Water was really rough. We tried to hug some trees to get out of the wind, but no luck. Water temp was 58 all day. My wife caught a 9" perch off of the extended peak to the right side of the dam on a nightcrawler in about 4' of water. I caught a large mouth about 12-13" that got off as I was reaching down to grab it. I caught him further out off the same peak, in about 10' of water in a perch color Rapala crank bait on a fast retrieve. I also caught a 10" large mouth in the far back corner of the lake near the little entrance hole. Caught him in the shallows with a christmas tree senko bait. He hit it as soon as it hit the water. My brother got skunked. We found two big schools of larger fish in 15' of water near the dam but was just about impossible to fish due to the wind. It was a nice lake but a little too far from me. I may try it one more time this season. Ill be at marsh or french creek this saturday. Happy fishing.
