I fished Chambers twice in the past couple weeks and the water clarity is horrible. Can't see down past 6" and lots of nasty algae on top of water. I remember fishing here 10 years ago and never being able to throw a crankbait because of all the thick healthy grass, and I remember being able to see that shelf on the western side of the lake clear as day. Now I have to stare down at my electronics to find that drop off or wait for my trolling motor to hit rocks. Some old timer at the boat launch was telling me all the pollen and lack of sunny days is the reason for algae boom, but I was at Marsh Creek recently and that was much better and I could see down 2 feet. Anyone else notice this or have some type of biology background to comment?

I fish chambers a lot myself. Water definitely is more murky than expected but vegetation doesn't get thick until June if I remember correctly. I say that bcuz I normally crappie fish from shore until it's impossible bcuz of vegetation. That's normally in June.

Back up chambers this evening. Still not much grass in the water. I'm surprised it's still plenty of places to bank fish
