This is state-wide for all lakes not streams. The decision was by Fish commission after all the complaints due to covid and people wanting additional privileges/opportunities. it's buried deep in the fish commissions press release.

Hokey looking sign looks like something printed off someone's home printer.... The extended season closed on Feb 15 - so the sign should read C+R trout from Feb 15 - March 27(youth day) and April 3(opening day)

From the "press release" back on 01/25/21..... the PFBC will begin pre-season trout stocking operations on February 15, 2021, approximately two weeks earlier than in previous seasons. This change will allow hatchery staff to deliver trout to many waters ahead of the Statewide Mentored Youth Trout Day and, weather permitting, all waters prior to the Statewide Opening Day. Due to this change, all streams that are designated as Stocked Trout Waters will be closed to angling when stocking begins on February 15. ***To provide for additional angling opportunities during this time, trout which are stocked in lakes, reservoirs, and ponds during the pre-season will be open to catch-and-release angling but may not be harvested until Statewide Mentored Youth Day and Statewide Opening Day. ***
Not sure if they will revert to the old regulations after COVID or not ? I had thought they changed it to the above a couple of years back so guys could ice fish for "other" fish on stocked lakes but did not see that in the book either ... so I'm not sure now.

Scotts Run Lake - On April 1, one boat on tne water around noon. April 3th, no one thereexcept me. Caught 3 blue gills on a fly. Nice and quiet. No cicada, strange. Seems they are everywhere, but few at Scotts Run?

Scotts Run Lake- If you like being on a lake all by yourself, 8am week days seems like the time? Been going past lake 2 or 3 time a week. Most times, no one there. Their are other types of fish in the lake. Remember the record bass that was caught? Hopewell is not being over fished, from what i see? Lots of surface cover over from the launch ramp .
