Has anyone fished Speedwell lately? Any comments about this lake?
I fished there years ago, and did not have much success, just wondering what it’s like by now.

Can't help you.... but do find it odd that there is no "chatter". It is a few years since the re-stocking and one would think it would be on fire. Maybe the guys fishing it saw what happened up at Leaser with the crowds/over fishing and are keeping quiet ?

I did make it to Speedwell yesterday from about 4:00-7:00pm.
Caught a 13” LM bass within the first 10 minutes, then nothing after that. There was a fair amount of what I think was crappie activity at one location, I should have maybe switched lures.
There are TONS of little bush like trees sticking up out o& the water on the lower 1/2, some on the upper 1/2.
Saw tons of carp in the upper end.
Don’t know if I’ll go back again. I believe the fish are there... but for some reason, I seem to struggle there.
