I ll preface my post by saying I' m not traditionally a trout fisherman , even pre Covid wasn't a fan of the fishing with 200 of your closest friends opening day thing .But when i went to purchase my license in early March the clerk processed the transaction as license with trout stamp , so i figured I'd give it a try this spring .Darby Creek is the closest stocked water way available with out travel , I ve walked that a lot , lived in the area for 50 years , granted i avoided the 15 pickup truck on the side of the road stretch but I walked another 4 miles less easy to access, gotta tell ya i didn t see any sign of trout , i know Fish& Game guys stocked everything they had early but it looks like it may have been a lot at a few location rather then the traditional dispersal . In this season of uncertainty for so many it s not the end of the world , look forward to a return to a semblance of normal and a nice summer fishing a little farther from home . Stay safe out there and hope the bite improves
