Just saw sanatoga lake on a map and decided to take a drive past it. Has anyone ever caught any nice bass in here? Thinking of launching my kayak to check it out

I never fished for bass in it but saw a easy 3lb dead Bass floating. also caught a healthy 11inch smallmouth. Locals told me French Creek outfitter has pictures of huge bass in the store from there

I've seen some decent bass caught in there and there's some very large carp. To launch a kayak in there you're supposed to get a launch permit from the township. It was easy, just had to fill out a small form at the township building.

zigtherat, is the permit similar to a state permit or is it totally different?

It's pretty much totally different. The only similarity is that they are both stickers. I was told I didn't even need to attach the Sanatoga Lake launch permit, just keep it with me in case the police asked to see it.

I fish there a lot, as it's 5 minutes from my house. I've caught some decent crappie there but zero largemouth so far. What I've seen/heard for you kayak guys is the best fishing is by the far side of the dam and the deeper water on the far side of the lake (opposite the parking lot.)
I catch sunnies in the waterfall side of the dam to use for flathead bait...
