Well got up at 5am and headed back over. Hit the state hill side got there about 5:30 several boats out and a small cluster at the ramp(nothing major I guess the one pleasure craft was waiting on the other and some other people). They all motored out before going full throttle.
Once again no alewives to be seen - there were however smaller shiners(?) swimming around in little packs. No striper action(it got bright quick) but did get a nice smallie that hooked himself after 3 trys at my Spook. Had 2 other "soft" swipes at it too, probably bass before I called it.

Well at least you got one nice smallie : ) I'm hoping to be out on the lake tomorrow nice and early. With warm temps and warming water I am hoping to hit the coves off the main lake.

If you are putting in at State Hill there is a floating tree not to far up on the left side(going up lake). Last time I was in my buddies boat(3 weeks ago) it was farther up lake). Don't know why nobody hasn't "beached it" yet.
