Snow Depth (inches) 2 No activities available due to conditions
As of 1/6/17: There is currently about 2" of snow scattered throughout the park.
Ice Depth (inches) 7 Ice fishing is available
As of 1/6/17: Approximate ice thickness is as follows: Lower Lake Launch – 7” Bear Wallow Launch - 7” Ridgefield Point Launch - 8” Pickerel Point - 9” Snow Shanty Launch - 8” Always use caution when on the ice and test the thickness for yourself. For your safety, make sure ice is at least 4” thick for a single individual and 7” thick for a small group. Always carry safety equipment and know how to use it.

Yup, pretty much all the smaller bodies of water up in the Poconos have enough ice to fish right now. Guys have been fishing wallenpaupack for a couple of weeks now also out of sterling marina. I'll wait until our local lakes freeze up. That's too much of a drive to poke 6 inch holes in lakes I don't know anything about. But it's there for the taking if you chose to take the drive.

I am waiting patiently for local ice! Gear is ready, bait is ready, new Marcum is ready. Shouldn't be long if these cold temps continue and the ice survives next week's warm spell.
