Went up to the good ole Salmon river for a couple days to get into some of the early fish. Had a pretty good day on Friday hooking up with about 15 fish and landing this nice female king salmon. Saturday and Sunday were much less productive days. It is tough when the fish first start to move in. One day they pass through where you are then the next day they are nowhere to be seen. It was good to get out again. It's a different world up there. Tons of people, most of which are pretty cool but some not so much. All in all a fun trip. Going back in a few weeks to get into some more and hopefully some of those steelhead as well.

A little tip : If water flows are too high in salmon river head west across the bottom of Ontario. Oswego and maxwell are good spots to find fish. You can find some salmon, lots of big browns and later steelies. You can find fish all the way to Buffalo.
I lived close to Maxwell when I was young.
