Anyone ever fish it before?
discovered it while on a job today, looks like it could hold some bass.

I grew up a couple miles from the old WC Reservoir. I fished it for Bass heavily during the 60's and 70's. It's been closed to access for about 30 years now, but I'm sure it still gets fished. Before they closed it in the mid 80's the place was a zoo on the weekends, with 10-15 cars parked along the road.
It holds a ton of Bass, always did. You also used to be able to access the back ( western end)where the fishing was great. For as much as I fished it, my PB was only slightly over 5.I saw a floater in there one day that would have gone easy 8-9
A handful of people drowned there over the years, which probably factored into the decision to close the place.
I've always thought that this lake as well as Springton lake has the potential for a state record fish, or real close. Deep, good forage base, lots of cover, and no fishing allowed all adds up to some monster bass.

Hey Ken, thank you for your kind words.
I'm spending more and more time at my FLA residence, and my new home waters are the St. Johns and Rodman Pool. However, I still like to keep my finger on the pulse of what's happening around here. These local waters have provided me with many trophies over the last 5 decades.
