Since this is a hunting related post, I thought I'd use the general forum...please move if this should be elsewhere. Has anyone heard any reports of birds ( pheasants, woodthingys ) being around Marsh Creek? I know the pheasant stocking has been reduced, but if there have been any woodthingy showing up I'd still like to check it out.

sorry my friend but thanks to the professional regulation at yuppie-creek state park, they conveniently mowed the field off of milford where they usually stock, and as word has it they passed it up on stocking days. I hear blue marsh has had pretty good pheasant hunting this year so far.

Years ago before they flooded the Marsh, the birds were plentiful. Then along came the chickens with the avian flu and 2 years later Chester and Lancaster counties were birdless. These were the 2 best counties in the state for hunting pheasent. Game commision tried to tell us that loss of habitat was the cause but that was a bunch of bull. Foxes were not to blame either. Hope you have luck in finding any, you may have to go to a preserve that releases them to hunt. Damn shame, I used to enjoy watching them in the fields on my way to work in the morning. Now it's the wasteing disease in the deer. What next?
