Was at Chambers Saturday evening from 5:00-7:30 with my granddaughter and SIL. Bite was slow. We did catch about 6 sunfish and one small bass, all on worms and minnows. Water temp was 85 degrees, water was very, very low. I was concerned about launching my 17' boat, but no problem. Nice evening

Sunday at Chambers wasn't a whole lot better. The few folks I talked to got the big ol' Skunk that day. I started at 6:45 Am and by 10:00 I had nada. I was not leaving until I caught a Bass because I was not going to get the skunk. I headed down towards the stumps and managed two in about 5 minutes and that was it. I agree; the water level is VERY low right now, is that because of the hot weather or are they starting to draw it down a little bit? I launched my 14 ft. jon boat without issues but did actually beach it on the way back in; not a whole lot of dock "in the water" right now. The strange thing though was the fact that I missed 5 or 6 topwater strikes on a bait that I have always had a great hookup ration with; I'm thinking maybe they weren't really taking the bait in their mouths. I could if I missed one or two of the hits; but not 5 or 6; I'm not that bad of a top water fisherman, haha!

I went out on monday morning and had a really slow morning. Caught 1 nice 2lber on a white chatterbait slow rolling it along the rocks to the right of the dam. Saw a ton of fish on the fishfinder right by the dam looking like they were feeding on schools of bait, but couldnt get any to hit. Tried dropshotting, deep cranks, spinnerbaits, swimbaits, etc, and had no luck deep. Caught a couple more real small fish but the 2 lber was the only one worth anything. The water was so low though, anyone know why that is? is it just lack of rain? Or is it something else?

I would say it is low due to the lack of rain along with evaporation as well. The ponds in Dtown are real low as well as marsh creek. Need some slow, steady rain real bad right now. The woods are quite dry too.

They let water out of chambers to help the creeks and wells below it. I was there monday and its down about 5ft or so from normal pool. Lots of people walking and fishing the rock wall.
I got 4 and my dad got 3. Fishing has definitely slowed a bit, but the quality of fish seems to have improved. Everything I got was in the ~1.5 range. My dad had the biggest of the day at 2.45.

I went through a whole progression of baits that day, but all my fish were caught on senkos.
