I'm interested in fly fishing at valley creek in valley forge. I know it's obviously catch and release but is it stocked by the PFBC? I don't see it listed. Just wondering if anyone had any info on stocking and a good stretch of the creek to try.

Not stocked anymore. Very technical and the trout are educated. Do a web search and you should find some info.

Thanks. Sounds like real trout fishing. I'll check it out.

Definitely real trout fishing. The brown trout there are beautiful. Arguably the prettiest fish around. They are also not stupid, which makes it more of a challenge and IMO a lot more interesting. Many are small...under 10" BUT every now and again a big one shows up to make things interesting.

I've found most pressure is from the covered bridge down to rte. 23. i really like going upstream from there as far as you can. fish are very educated but if you can get into a hatch, this time of year try small sulphur, gnats, and BWO. tight lines. let us know how you make out.
