Thought I'd share a success or failure, depending on how you look at it. The pond is private property as of now, but was generally open to anyone who cared to fish it. It's got a great stock of large mouth bass with some real whoppers in the 5+ lb range and large enough to hold them all. Unfortunately, more people started to fish and ruined the persons property by leaving garbage, broken tackle and cigarette butts everywhere. With that said the land owner banned people from fishing. As some of you do, I also carry a small bag with me and pick the garbage up each time I'm there and make sure the property is clean and to be respectful of their property. The land owner had taken notice of this and since they knew I lived local, they graciously allowed me to continue fishing. So to the new fishermen/women of the board, please remember that you are responsible for your conduct while fishing, which includes cleaning up after yourself, you never know who's watching. And to those who take responsibility by cleaning up and taking pride, thank you because again, you never know who's watching! Thanks to you senior members who have set a great example of being true sportsman and conducting yourself as such.
