I would like to drive a few hours on saturday and try somewhere new. I would love to try for walleye or pickeral or anything different. Any suggestions?

lake Ontalonnee up by cabelas is an option,,,me and a few others were kicking it around the other day,,,i hear of large crappies there. iv never been there and would rather go with someone who has fished there before, and I do know a few guys who have been,,,we just got to get a date figured out and go sometime.,,,,,,,,,,,for now im hoping MC freezes over,,like everyone else I suspect.

That might be a good one. I don't think there's a boat ro so far less pressure on this fish all year. I might try mauch chunk lake.

I wouldn't mind taking a trip to ontalaunee....never been there before but have heard goods things. Group trip perhaps? Weekend would be better for me.

Myself and a buddy would be interested on a weekend. Ice fished ontalaunee 1 time when i was very young with my uncle. I hear lot about peters creek. You can find some info on ice shanty. But yea i would be interested in a trip!

^...I'd be interested in a trip up there as well. I'm fishing Lake Wallenpaupack feb 12, 13 and 15. Doubt she will let me go out the 14th haha.

I would be down for a trip to lake Ontelaunee as well. I fished there late fall for crappies. Fishing was great nice size crappies and a lot of them.

Frank, I my brother was talking about going to lake Ontelaunee this weekend. Have been hearing good things about it the last couple of weeks, I'll will try to look for a fishing report. I'll get a hold of you if we go up this weekend, if not We'll probably hit struble at some point.

One known "hot spot" on Ontelaunee is Peters Creek. I'ts a narrow area that is one of the first areas of the lake to freeze enough to fish on. Can be busy but plenty of room. It's along Maiden Creek Rd off of Rt73 just west of Rt222, You can also get there by taking Rt73 east from Rt61. Had some good fishing there last year. I don't know of anyone who has been there this season yet.

Talk to some guys today that went to ontelaunee lake today and they didn't have one single bit all day

Count me in for a run up to Ontelaunee. I am not familiar with it at all, never fished it. My friend went a few weeks ago, said parking lot was quite aways from the lake and was a rough drag with a sled. Fishing was slow that day but others out there told him the crappie bite was good the week before,noted that every one he saw was using minnows.

still haven't been there yet Brandon,,,my buddy was there this am and didn't like the looks of it,,,,main lake still open,,,,and that's where I want to fish,,,if we ever do get on there ill let you know,,,,,last year it was deep water that was good there me,,,,40ft
