I will be out tomorrow as well. I'm not looking forward to the mess that is probably out there but I'll throw a shovel in my sled and get there early before it gets any worse. Next weekend looks to be pretty good with the cold temps this coming week. Who knows, maybe we will even be able to get out onto MC soon. Ill be wearing all blue and black. If you see me stop by and say hi. Most likely be fishing to the right of the ramp.

Fished from 4:00 - 8:00 this evening, lots of fish, few keeper size. All Gills and Crappie. The ice had about 2 inches of slush and water on top. It should be solid by tomorrow, by the end tonight it was crunching under my feet on the way in.
Bring extra auger blades, these conditions are hard on them.

i am new to the sight and have fished struble a few times this year. I was just wondering what you guys considered a keeper perch there? We have had pretty good luck with some nice crappies and gills but all the perch seem to be on the smaller size. Many of them would make a nice meal but def not like perch we catch in other lakes. This is are first year fishing struble so I was just curious what the general consensus was from guys who fish there on a regular. Thanks for the help

Does anyone ever catch walleyes on the ice here? The PFCB stocks Struble heavily and says it has good populations but I never hear anyone catching any walleyes.

I caught a walleye last year, it was a bonus catch while fishing for crappie. there are a few who target them but they are very hush-hush.

Was out 11-3pm. For about the first 1 1/2 hrs I had nothing but sniffers but they got hungry after that. I had a very nice perch and a nice crappie mixed in with the 21 fish I took home. The slush on the ice was a monster.

Fished 7:30 till 4 today. By the end of the day i was standing in about 3 inches of water. It was messy out there for sure. Had a nice mix of fish. Caught tons of gills, a few nice crappie, 1 good perch, 3 golden shiners, a small LM bass, and a 14" channel cat. Most of which out of the same hole. The bite was steady and aggressive all afternoon. Hopefully it gets a chance to freeze back up with all the snow in the forecast. Some areas of the lake were littered with big open spider cracks. I was actually fishing on maybe 3 inches of ice at one point.

fished yesterday 1030- till dark, had a good crappie bite when I first got there, lasted about an hour and a half and then shut off completely,,they did turn back on good just before dark, me and the other guys fishing were just about to pack it up when they turned back on so we stayed and caught some fish, but when it got dark,,that was the end of it again. it seemed like 3 pm has the start of the afternoon bite,,, but it was much later yesterday.

Had another good day on the ice/slush/water. Mostly Crappies all day from 10:00 to 5:00. Lost two slabs again....DOH!! Also had something big on 2lb test and a small minnow that had the drag screaming. Had to stick the rod down the hole to keep the line of the edge of the ice. Unfortunately the hook pulled free. Any guesses as to what it might have been? I'm guessing catfish.....
Might be out tomorrow, not sure as of now.
