I heard that from a friend this morning. He also said the entire lake is frozen over but didn't venture out to check ice thickness.

I think I am going to head over tomorrow morning in hopes of drilling some holes and finding some fish. Is anybody else planning on making a trip? Would be nice to fish some ice without having to drive up north

I was able to get out on the ice and fish struble today. Was there from about 9 to 3. It was very cold and windy out there, but a solid 4 inches of ice across the lake. Most of the ice was good clear ice. There was a good amount of people out there as well fishing all over the lake even near the dam. The bite was ok. I caught a bunch of small perch, 2 nice crappies and a few sunnies as well. This was my first time fishing through the ice on this lake and it is definitely a different experience from marsh creek. Fish seem to be spread around with no one place producing more then the other. Good to be drilling holes again!

Yes. I was using my new marcum vx1. Seems to be a nice unit so far. Appeared to me that the fish were constantly roaming. They would show up in big schools that would fill the whole screen from top to bottom. I would pull one or two out then they were gone. A short time later they would come back. I was thinking of heading back over tomorrow morning but I am still thawing out from earlier. The wind was brutal
