Even with the weather as it was, a buddy & I traveled to the Marsh Sunday morning. We arrived around 5:15 AM fished untill around 11:15 AM. I caught my one & only bass on a white strike king "red eye" spinner bait at around 6:00 AM at the boat rental dock. I casted my lure onto the deck & drug it off into the water & as soon as it fell , BOOM, a 15" LM , not a great fish, but fun anyway. I tried to reapeat but got my lure stuck into the bumper padding on the dock , so that was that. We then went to the park side boat ramp & saw a musky approx 12"-14" long in very shallow water, but just like that he was gone & we got the skunk there. We then fished the cove to the right of the 24hr ramp, there were a few other fellows out there as well, I had a hit on my bass assassan jerk bait, the water was extremely clear & I actually watched the little guy (12"er) come up from down in the weeds to smack at it.We got skunked in that cove. we then ventured to the opposite side of the boat rental docks (around the cattails by the DCNR's boat dock) skunked, we then went towards the other side while in the middle of the lake (strait out from the rental dock) my buddy got a 14" LM on a Rapala shallow shad rap (sunny color), about 20 minutes later he landed a whopping 7" LM on a spittin image top water along the bank heading towards the 24hr ramp, and 10 minutes after that another 12"-13" LM on the same lure about 30ft down from the other one. we then ventured along the banks for another 45minutes or so & called it a day. We did see quite a few muskies cruisin with heads up in the area strait out from the boat rental dock, I tried for them during the time my buddy was fishing his topwater, damn I wanted to reel in one of thoose toothy critters, but oh well, maybee next time
