It's been awhile since any report from Blue Marsh, anyone fished it lately? I'm all ready to dodge the heavy boat traffic, just didn't know what's been biting.

I fished it July 4th... As bad as that may sound I didn't do too bad. I caught a few bass out of lay downs and under overhanging trees on a jig. Also caught a bunch of carp under a mulberry tree. If you have any kids in the boat, finding a mulberry tree can be a great way to get them hooked up.

I did see a number of carp in pairs on the edges, must be spawn?
I also tried to rescue a large carp with an orange arrow through it's lower jaw just north of the Bernville Road Bridge. Yes, an arrow with a practice tip. I was going in to net him, but he still had a bit of giddyup and took off. That's a first for me, who targets carp with practice arrows?
