I just joined this mesage board and I have bought many good tackle items from Gordens.
My question is for years I could not catch crappies in any numbers, now the crappie numbers are way up, was there a stocking and now the crappies have reproduced at a level that will make for good crappie fishing in years to come.
I do my share in helping this lake become a better crappie fishing lake, I do not keep spawning crappie, and I do not fish the bluegills while they are on the beds.
Catching a limit of crappies is no problem for me on this lake, same goes for bluegills.
I do not fish for bass, so as you can see I am a panfish angler.
I need info on, where are the yellow perch?

Yes they stock the lake with crappie, I'm not sure how often but they do stock them. I'm sure that it helps sustain the population. I don't know about the perch, maybe somebody else will chime in on that subject. Also welcome to the board. I guess I should welcome all of our new members as we have gotten quite a few in the last several months.

Hey need to fish, how can that be, right now is peak crappie time, what bait were you using for crappies, fish the wood close to shore and BAM! use lite 1/64 oz jig with a white small twister, with yum in twister.

Walmart sells a Riverside twister impregnated with YUM, I use the 2 inch white ones for crappies, Last fall in Nov, I nailed 28 huge crappies on them using a light jig, they hit the jig on the fall, I am sure Gordens would have something similar to this twister that is just as good.

Night time crappie fishing, I enjoy night fishing for crappies, minnows are a must and I also use jug and wax worms.
Just something mystical about this night fishing.
I never fished at night at MC, but would like to at least once this year on MC.
