Hi everyone. With all the recent high water, I have noticed a ton of garbage along the B-wine East Branch.
I have made it part of my fishing routine to pick up litter while in the stream. It only takes a minute and helps preserve the creek.
On a side note, my catch has increased since I started this...maybe Trout Karma?!!
Tight Lines CC.

I was fishing the conestoga river last week and came across a robin hanging upside down entangled in fishing line. The line had wrapped up around its foot and a branch. I was able to cut the line and free the bird, but it made me realize how relevant the importance of a clean river is to us.

Great post! I always keep some plastic trash bags in my back pack to throw stuff in when I come across it. I wade fish so it is a bit easier for me to grab shoreline debris. Most common items seem to be bait containers, eagle claw snelled hook packs, soft drink bottles/cans and discarded line. Just yesterday I filled a bag more than halfway while fishing during the morning. Every bit makes a difference.

Great idea and great post about making it a point to pick up trash while your fishing. My blood boils when I see people littering. I'm going to bring a trash bag with me when I fish. If I don't catch anything at least I'm making the area cleaner by picking up some trash.
