Went down to conowingo dam yesterday afternoon and didn't touch a thing at the dam. Went down to the pump station at Deer Creek and guys were fly fishing, but I didn't see any of them hook up. Rode down to the mouth of Deer Creek and it was on fire. Literally cast after cast action with plenty of doubles. A decent mix of males and some very nice females close to 20". Awesome afternoon to be out enjoying the river with other anglers as bald head eagles and ospreys flew overhead.

I think there are a lot of folks from Downingtown on this board. I also live there, born and raised.

Went down to Conowingo yesterday morning and had a decent bite early on in the am. The bite shut off after the sun got high in the sky. Still a lot of fun even though they raised the water mid morning. Lots of ospreys and eagles around the mouth of Deer Creek. The hickory shad actually preferred a larger white and chartreuse dart rather than the smaller sizes that they normally like.
