Had a great day on the lake. Quiet for the most part but highlight was a 38" musky on a Yamamoto grub and 4/0 weedless hook using 6lb fireline. He put up a decent fight, ran once and rolled a couple of times before netting him. Snapped a few pics and released him back to the depths. Great to have landed such a beautiful, clean and healthy fish. Thanks to basser425 and shellback for their advice on launching!

On 6lb test? That's quite an accomplishment. Nice going.

Definitely wasn't targeting him, the setup was geared for LMB. Luckily the fireline is a fused crystal superline and can hold much greater than equivalent diameter 6lb mono. I also think the outcome would have been much different if he was in mid-summer fighting shape, water was 48 at surface. I'll take it regardless!
