ever read the weather report in the paper? It says sunny and beautiful day today... you look outside and it is raining??!! The Reading Eagle "fishing" expert is saying all the lakes are clear and the fish are munching...I would like to know WHICH lakes he has been at. Oh well, I was a marathoner it this past week and hit all of these lakes with varying degrees of success, fish caught at all lakes, but no trophies, but what the heck. Scots Runs was white cap windy, I had 2 trolling motors on and could not hold position, so that was an oddball day... but that lake is SOOO shallow. Blue Marsh had a covering of algae and was very stained, Mauch Chunk was clear but filled with grass, so much that it was hard to fish it. And Hopewell was very dirty as well. All in all the fish seemed to be buried in the grass and not chasing anything. I think this cooler weather has really slowed everything down. At least at the these hot Reading Eagle lakes!!
