This should be the week! If the weather warms as predicted, by the end of this week crappies should be turned on at the lake. Last two days there have been fish caught at the bridge. Crappies and bluegills are starting to hit , especially today. Not a lot yet but they are there. Today minnows and trout magnets were working for the crappies, and waxies for the bluegills. It should only get better from here on in !! There's been crappies caught at Octoraro the last couple of weeks also. Fishing along the back road off the rocks, seems to be the best area, however some days are good and others no so hot.

I was out yesterday from 1:00 to 6:00 PM at the bridge and got about 10 nice size crappies. All were around the 9/10 inch range and beefy. Caught all mine on a pink/white hair jig on a float. Saw others catching them on small minnows. Should pick up this week.
