Just checked the Coatesville Rez. Completely froze except for the small areas kept open by the geese. iwould say about 2" of clear hard ice at the 2 spots I checked. I bet we have ice by saturday if not sooner. Dont push your luck if its questionable and be careful out there.

By the res. today and saw the ice. Question-Next week a couple of warm days but cold nights. Think the ice will somewhat hold up? The itch to get out is getting worse but remember what jigger said, don't take chances and become a statistic.

How ya been Tony, aint seen you for 2 years. Lost your number with my phone, send me a message with your number so we can share fishing info. As far as the warm spell goes, I guess we will find out. We may have a 1 or 2 day window with safe ice. Im going to see how much ice was made over night tomorrow and make a decision tomorrow about getting up saturday morning. I bet Scotts Run would be a good possibility too. Im guessing they stocked trout as usual.

I want to get my jig on!! Come on ice, keep getting thicker!! Hoping to head out saturday at some point if it is safe. If everything is good, maybe sunday and monday too. Looks like tuesday and wednesday is supposed to be around 48 with showers wednesday, then a little cold spell afterwards.
Stopped by Sruble this afternoon and there were three guys fishing. One out in front of the parking lot along with a kid playing hockey, and two othere about 75 yards also out from the parkingl lot. Talked to a local fellow who has a pond right near the lake and he said he had 4" on his large pond. We just got waxies and spikes as well as mealies and minnows in this after noon. Sorry for the poor pics only had my cell phone with me!
Marsh Creek was frozen completely over also this morning, saw a coupe of guys venturing out about 20-30 ft off shore, across from the park office but no one fishing
