Hello,
I was wondering if anyone out there has some advice about electronics. I fish off a canoe and I am looking for a reliable Fish Finder/ Depth finder/temp gage and something that gives me an accurate view of structure on the bottom. The main problem is I am on a limited budget as well as I need something portable because i fish off a canoe. I have about 150 to spend on this and I was wondering if it is possible to find a device that is reliable and in the price range. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Personally I like Lowrance, Their sensitivity is unbelievable. But there are so many brands on the market now I don't know what to tell you.You might want to check into the Lowrance X47 I've seen it for around $120.00.

Ryan, there are a couple units that are in your price range, the easiest one to use in your situation would probably be one of the Bottom Line Fishin Buddy units or the Eagle Cuda 128 Portable unit. I think the Eagle would be the better performing unit.

Ryan, I fish from a canoe and I bought the Humminbird 100. It is a portable unit that fits snugly into its case. The sonar has a suction cup on it that will stick to the bottom of your boat. It is great. I got it @ Dick's a few years ago for $99.
