A very bad day fishing on Saturday; it was a nice enough day out....but the fish just werent cooperating. I spoke to several people on the lake and one guy caught a few bluegills; another caught a just a couple of small bass. I threw everything at them and it just wasnt working and I would like to think that I know the lake very well. This is the first time in 3 years I have left that lake without at least one bass. In reading all reports on this forum it looks like it was a rough weekend at all the lakes. Not sure where the bass were or why they werent biting. I left Hopewell after about 4-1/2 hours and headed out for some pond fishing instead. Fortunately I salvaged the day with 8 pond bass. Nothing big; but I was just happy to catch some fish. Was anyone else at Hopewell this weekend? If so....did ANYONE catch anything? I saw very few fisherman on the lake on Saturday.....guess other people knew something I didnt?

I don't know about Hopewell, but I fished Marsh Creek on Monday and it was a tough bite for sure. The water temps dipped and it was cool, cloudy, and windy. I managed 4 bass in about 3.5 hours on 4 different baits and areas. 2 fish were respectable 3 lb class fish one was about a 1.5 and the last one was a dinky guy. The last fish made me smile the most because I REALLY wanted to catch a fish on that specific lure. lol
