April 16,2012..... We got down the flats with the intent to have some fun catching some stripers but ended up getting caught up in one of the most intense spawn we have ever witnessed over the years! We started out catching numbers of small bucks ranging 1-15lbs but i wanted to get into the cows, with the chance to land one of the giants 40+ we went looking. From the mouth of the susky to turkey point then from sandy point up to carpenters point. We finally ran into or should I say the bucks ran into us (literally) when we came upon this spawning phenom.with cows everywhere working the bucks into a suicidal frenzy the bucks would try and mate with anything and everything that moved in the water. They look like carp but look closely and youll see "Stripers Gone Wild" www.youtube.com/watch?v=X2Tx5cj3Phs&feature=youtube_gdata_player
