Went to the flats at Havre de Grace. We boated 4 Stripers the biggest at 26", the smallest just shy of the 18" mark. We caught a lot of catfish too! We were one of about 4 boats fishing the flats today. Not too long ago it was about 150 boats. It was a great day except the overcast weather lead to a nasty sunburn I wasnt expected. Back to the Marsh next weekend.

Just registered but I've been keeping an eye on whats going on in the area. As far as the flat's is concerned. I've been fishing there for over 10 years but have been down that way as long as 35 years ago. The striper fishing has been great for the past few years. If the waters over 47 degrees in late March and early april the giants come in around the Harve De grace area. The key to catching them is the herring. The big fish love fresh or live herring. My crews have put very big fish in the boats. Many from 40 lb's to over 50 and bigger. Check this coming year 2012 they might stop using herring in the area due to low numbers. If you want information on catching some big boys check my website out and don't forget to sign the guestbook. We've been hitting local lakes and all the way into Canada. so check it out. www.freewebs.com/knappys/ or go to google and search knappys outdoor adventures
