Gave the place hell on Wednesday, water was severly dirty, visibility was about 6". Had a nice 3 hour window after the fog burned off and before the remnants of that big storm system from Ohio turned Struble into the ocean. Lots of carp leaping in the shallows up the whole right side from the launch. Threw the lot at em, spinners, jigs, traps, cranks in a variety of depths and cover, but no takers. Til the next epidsode.......

Hey Tommy p; do you ever catch anything at Struble? I had an awesome day there about 10 years ago fishing the dam breast. I was fishing a Bomber crankbait in fire tiger; caught 4 bass that day; all around 4 lbs and also a 23" channel cat on the same crankbait. But again; that was around 10 years ago. Also hooked one several days after that which my buddy and I guess at about 7-8lbs; but he came unhooked right at the boat. But last year I went out and didnt catch a darn thing except a few small perch. They say there are alot of bass in there (and big ones); but I just dont really seem to ever catch anything down there in recent years.

That's only my second trip to struble, think I was there in late october and it was kind of slow. Pulled a few LM from the stumps with jigs and a few on spinners back near the culvert, but it was more of just getting the lay of the land. And the place looked like green cool-aid at the time too, was bad algae bloom. Will post further on the lake next time I go, hope it clears up a bit.
